The Zambia Monitoring and Evaluation Association-ZAMEA says the launch of the National Monitoring and Evaluation policy by government will enhance transparency and quicken the implementation and achievement of meaningful development for the country.

ZAMEA Board Chairman Ndiwa Mutelo said the Policy that this will further enhance delivery of quality service and development to the public.

Mr. Mutelo was speaking at a media briefing in Lusaka on Wednesday morning.

And ZAMEA Board Vice Chairman Francis Chipasha said new policy will boost the performance of government’s system for the benefit of the nation.

Meanwhile, ZAMEA Treasurer Million Phiri said the policy will also ensure that every money government spends on development will be traced and accounted for easily.

Government on Monday launched the National Monitoring and Evaluation Policy which is expected to track and assess progress made in achieving the 7th National Development plan and Vision 2030.

Acting National Development Planning Minister Michael Katambo said the policy will further enable the country to have an effective mechanism to track progress in the implementation of development interventions.
